GTR High Performance is happy to annouce their annual "Cruise to Fabulous Fords Forever car show at Knotts Berry Farm".

For over a decade, GTR High Performance has welcomed any and all Fords and Mustangs to caravan to the Knotts car show, taking place next month on April 19th. The Knotts car show is the largest Ford-only car show on the west-coast, so its heaven for Ford-fanatics! In years past, GTR has managed to round up close to 100 cars and trucks to participate in the cruise to Knotts, which is VERY impressive site. As cool as the Knotts car show is, for many, the cruise is the highlight of the day. How often do you get to see nearly a hundred of Southern California's finest ponies on the road at the same time and going to the same location?!

For those that have never attended, the Knotts show is free to the public and there are no admission or parking fees, so there is no reason not to go! If you would like to join team GTR in the cruise to the show, arrive at GTR High Performance by 7:30 am. Mingle with others in attendance and share ideas and experiences with your Mustangs. We expect to depart to Knotts and hit the road by about 8:00am. Assuming an hour drive (that will allow for traffic), that will put us to arrive at Knotts by 9:00am. The Knotts car show officially starts at 10am, so that will leave plenty of time. For anybody that is actually participating in the Knotts car show and is displaying a car, Knott's officials have asked that you arrive by 10am, so we will arrive with plenty of time for you to get your car in the show and set up. Spread the word and let's make this the biggest GTR cruise to Knotts yet!

GTR Customer Appreciation Day Car Show & Dyno Day on Sunday, November 18, 2012:

Attention Fellow Mustang Enthusiasts,

Our yearly GTR Customer Appreciation Day Car Show & Dyno Day is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012. The gathering is scheduled from 9am to 3pm. With 120 plus Ford Mustangs showing their stuff and a dyno-contest, this event has become one of the more popular Mustang gatherings/events in So-Cal.

This event is free and is first come, first serve. If you plan on showing your car, be sure and arrive early to secure a good parking spot. Our dyno-tests will be at a reduced rate of $55 for three pulls and a trophy will be awarded to the Mustang with the highest horsepower. The dyno contest is limited to the first 18 cars, so be sure and check-in with our staff if you hope to ensure yourself a place in the dyno contest.

As usual, we will have various parts manufacturers on-hand to showcase their products and to answer any questions that you may have. We will also hold our popular parts raffle and trophy presentation at the end of the show. So if you are looking for a fun day, filled with a bunch of nice Mustangs and want to check-out some dyno runs... then be sure and join us on Nov. 18th!

GTR Autocross Day at Autoclub Speedway on Saturday, November 19, 2011

Take a look at the videos provided by two of our customers located on the Customer Gallery page.

Below is the 1998 Camaro Z-28 of Gonzalo, President of GTR

1998 Camaro Z-28 with 155,000 original miles belonging to Gonzalo (President of GTR) & Lauri Topete! Only upgrades done to the vehicle inlcude: Magnaflow catalytic Pipe, MAC Cat Back exhaust and K&N drop-in panel filter...all else is stock! Dyno tested to 302 HP at the rear wheels on our in-house DynoJet Chassis Dyno. We outfitted this Camaro with a BMR suspension handling kit which included lowering springs, larger diameter front and rear sway bars, KONI yellow adjustable shocks and struts, and 17x9.5" wheels wrapped in Toyo R888 DOT approved competition tires (275/40/17 size).

The Camaro performed extremely well! With such few and basic modifications, our test Camaro was the fastest "Muscle-Car" of the day at the autocross event (by a large margin of over a second!). We faced very stiff competition by muscle cars with over twice as much horsepower, larger brakes, and more exotic suspension upgrades and still came out on top! We managed to outrun a new supercharged ZR-1 Corvette, along with several other newer Corvettes, a 2011 Boss 302 Mustang, and a field of supercharged Mustangs also from our camp! In addition, our Camaro also crushed nearly all competitors from Japan and Europe inlcuding cars that normally dominate the autocross such as Mazda Miatas, Honda S2000s, BMWs and Porsches. Not bad for a 13 year old car with basic bolt ons! This proves that to create an exceptional handling car, it simply takes a proven, well-matched and balanced suspension package that is complimented by sticky tires to get the best results. Credit our in-house "hot-shoe pilot" Ricardo Topete for navigating the Camaro to a best time of the day of 39.1 seconds! For perspective, only a couple of cars managed to break into 38 second territory!

Look for GTR's 98 Z-28 Camaro at future autocross events and feel free to pick their brain on what your vehicle needs to be competetive or dominate an autocross or road racing event!
